At Oxford we strongly believe in mutual intellectual exchange and collaboration among scholars and students of different generations and disciplines. We are a group historians, historians of art, and literary scholars, connected by our primary interest in the study of the Iberian past in its multiple expressions, and our commitment to interdisciplinary discussion. We look at the Iberian world in both its peninsular and global dimensions and consider a better understanding of its history a major contribution to the complex world in which we live. While carrying out our own individual research, we enjoy engaging in conversation with each other and developing as an intellectual community around a reading group and a research seminar, which meet regularly in term time at Exeter College.
