Bethan Fisk is Leverhulme Trust Early Career Research Fellow at the University of Edinburg. A historian of colonial Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic world, her research focuses on the history of Afro-Latin America and the African diaspora, with a focus on race, gender, and religion in Colombia and the Caribbean. She is currently working on a book manuscript, Between waters and forest: Black religions in eighteenth-century Colombia.
