Bethan Fisk is Lecturer in Colonial Latin American History at the University of Bristol. A historian of Spanish America, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic world, her research focuses on the history of Afro-Latin America and the African diaspora, with a focus on race, gender, and religion in Colombia and the Caribbean. She is currently working on a book manuscript, Between Waters and Forest: Black Religions in Eighteenth-Century Colombia.
