A leading scholar of the early modern Portuguese empire in Asia, in the context of the programme of activities associated with his TORCH International Fellowship, Jorge Flores (University of Lisbon) will run a masterclass on current trends in the scholarship about the early modern Iberian from Persia and India to the Philippines and Macau, its significance for global history practitioners, and the legacy of the Spanish and Portuguese empires in Asia in present-day Iberia.
