Andrés Bustamante is a Latin American historian. He recently completed a PhD in History at Yale University and is currently a Julia de Lacy Mann Postdoctoral Fellow at Merton College, University of Oxford. He examines the history of archaeology and subsoil politics in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Mexico. More broadly, his research interests include Indigenous history, legal history, environmental history, history of the social sciences, Mesoamerican art, and archaeology of the ancient Americas.
