Adrian Masters is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Trier. He holds a PhD in History from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a scholar of Spanish colonial history, with a specific interest in colonial law, racialization, petitioning, religion, and mobility. His publications the book We, the King: Creating Royal Legislation in the Sixteenth Century Spanish New World (CUP, 2023).
