Rodrigo García-Velasco is a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Research Fellow in the Department of History at University College London. He earned a PhD in History from the University of Cambridge and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Cambridge and Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). His research focuses on the intersection of social, religious, legal, and institutional history. His articles have been published in the Journal of Legal History and Medieval Encounters. His first book Jews and Muslims Before the Law in Christian Iberia, 1000-1200 is due to be published in 2027 by Cambridge University Press,
