My interests span the history of science, global history and cultural history of the early modern Iberian empires. My current research addresses the uses of Indigenous natural knowledge at the Council of the Indies from the mid-sixteenth to early seventeenth centuries.
I read History and Modern Languages at King’s College, Cambridge. I graduated with a double starred first and topped tripos, winning the Winifred Georgina Holgate-Pollard Memorial Prize.
I am now reading for an MSt in Early Modern History, fully funded by the John Roberts Scholarship at Merton College.
